Hello! My name is Katlyn. It's nice to meet you!
I am a mental health counselor licensed in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
I have been lucky enough to work with very diverse populations across various settings throughout the last 18 years, including outpatient clinics, community based programs, residential programs, therapeutic schools, and colleges/universities with a focus on graduate student mental health.
One of my favorite things about being a mental health counselor is getting to work with, and learn from, clients from a broad range of cultures, backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences. I am passionate about reducing stigma and increasing awareness about mental health in order to make it easier for those in need to ask for help.
I understand that opening up to a stranger can be hard, and coming to therapy, especially if it's your first time, can be very overwhelming! I am committed to showing up with empathy and a non-judgmental approach in order to help you feel as comfortable as possible being your most authentic self in our sessions. I often integrate components from various evidence-based models of therapy depending on your needs and interests. I have had training in different treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Attachment Regulation and Competency, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. Everyone's needs are different and unique. I strive to adapt my approach to best support your strengths and needs.
If it sounds like I might be a good fit for your needs, feel free to reach out! I'm available to schedule a brief 15-minute free consultation so that we can learn more about each other to see if we might be a good match, or to schedule an hour-long intake appointment.
I look forward to meeting you!
